CLEAN AIR IAQ

Improving Indoor Air Quality

reduces airborne and surface contaminants and pathogens quickly and effectively.

As a home or business owner, you want to know that the people in your space are safe from particulates, airborne bacteria, viruses, mold spores, and odor.

At Bio-Shock, we are the experts in indoor air quality and indoor environments! We provide healthy spaces and promote wellness within those spaces.

We provide IAQ assessments, analytical testing services and long-term air quality monitoring. We additionally offer mission critical hydroxyl generating air purification products, MERV 13 air filtration products, personalized IAQ certification programs and protocols for the continual advancement of IAQ, building hygiene, and indoor environmental.

We can install hydroxyl generators in your ductwork for a sterile room effect along with our MERV 13 Total Care air filters for your HVAC system. This is comparable to having a high grade industrial HEPA filter air cleaner in every room of your house.

We staff and partner with mechanical engineers and professionals that understand how to incorporate IAQ equipment into existing or new mechanical equipment.

Taking steps to enhance the quality of your indoor air will have a major impact on your family’s health and comfort at home.

Better air quality can reduce allergy and asthma triggers. IAQ solutions generally aim to clean the air of harmful pollutants, including  bacteria, viruses, mold spores, pollen, pet dander, dust, VOCs, formaldehyde, smoke, chemicals, small insects and more.

Who Is at Risk From Harmful Effects of Poor Indoor Air?

In truth, everyone is at risk of exposure to indoor contaminants. Those who spend more time indoors or have particularly weak immune systems are more susceptible to the adverse long-term effects of pollution.

Medical researchers believe that poor indoor air quality can affect an unborn fetus. This is because of oxidative stress and insulin resistance that occurs whenever there is a rise in household air pollutants. Oxidative stress, an imbalance of antioxidants and free radicals in the body, has shown to decrease fertility and has even been linked to low sperm motility and low-quality zygotes while insulin resistance has been tied to polycystic ovarian disease, another contributor to fertility problems.

Poor indoor air quality is a major trigger for asthma and allergies, as well as a cause of asthma, particularly in younger people. Most of us spend a lot of time in our homes and that’s become even more the case in recent times. Yet few of us have a detailed understanding of the quality of the air that we breathe indoors. It may contain pollutants and toxins that cause or aggravate asthma and allergies.

Increasingly, homeowners, landlords, and business owners are recognizing the threat posed by poor IAQ and understanding that improving confined space or indoor air quality can have substantial benefits, including improved health, comfort, safety and productivity.
